Capital Radio Station in London
The very popular Capital Radio was originally based at Euston Tower, but is now
on Leicester Square. Capital Radio was the second legal commercial radio station to go live in the UK. LBC beat it by just over a week in 1973. The very first song played by the station was Bridge Over Troubled Water, but trouble has stayed far
away from the station and it is still going strong.
